It’s often said “all politics is local”.  It’s with that in mind that The Messenger endorses Caroleene Dobson for our U.S. representative in the 2^nd Congressional District.

 

Over the past several months the people of Pike County have gotten to know Dobson through her multiple visits to our area.  And Dobson has gotten to know us and what’s important to us.  But its not just Pike County that Dobson has visited multiple times.  We’ve spoken to people from the other counties in District 2 and they all confirm that Dobson has made multiple visits to their towns as well.

 

This tireless, genuine and sincere work on Dobson’s part demonstrates that it’s very important to her to understand what’s important in our respective hamlets.  It also demonstrates that the citizens in District 2 will have a local voice in Washington, D.C. in Caroleene Dobson.

 

Her political opponent, Shomari Figures, may have some redeeming qualities about himself.  We just don’t know if he does or not, because we’ve never met him.

 

Dobson is for: Securing our borders, stopping excessive government spending, reducing regulatory red tape, pro 2^nd Amendment, energy independence, pro-life, pro-IVF, educational freedom, increased labor force participation, affordable high-quality healthcare, strong national security and safe communities.
