Salvation Army and Chick-fil-A fundraiser underway

The Pike County Salvation Army and Chick-fil-A in Troy have joined to help feed hungry people this year.
From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., today, Friday, November 15, the feed hungry people fundraiser will be at Chick-Fil-A and everyone is invited to participate in making the holidays better and brighter.
A donation of $10 or a frozen turkey will be turned into a holiday meal for the homeless or food insecure.
Donn Kidd, director of the Troy service center, expressed appreciation to Chick-Fil-A in Troy for the support of the center’s feed the hungry fundraiser.
All proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army in support of the feed the hungry people fundraiser.
“Together, we are inviting our community members to join us in our efforts to provide a holiday meal for the homeless and food insecure,” Kidd said. “Donations of a $10 bill or a frozen turkey will be greatly appreciated.”
Those who make a $10 donation or frozen turkey will receive a T-Shirts for Turkeys, theJoyfm.
All proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army.
