CHHS grad Tuti Jones surpasses 1,000 career points

Former Charles Henderson star Tuti Jones was recognized this past weekend for surpassing the 1,000-point milestone at Belmont University.
Jones currently sits at 1,093 points and was the 35th player in Belmont history to reach the 1,000-point mark. So far this season, Jones is averaging eight points, 1.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and three steals per game. She’s tallied 1,093 points, 447 rebounds, 302 assists and 271 steals in her career.
During her Belmont career, she’s earned All-MVC and MVC All-Defense in 2023-2024 along with 2021-2022 All-OVC and OVC Defensive Player of the Year. She’s also earned a number of academic honors, including Division I-AAA ADA Scholar-Athlete and 2023-2024 Academic All-District.
Jones, the daughter of longtime legendary CHHS head coach Dyneshia Jones-Elder, was a superstar at Charles Henderson, helping the school win a state championship as a senior. She earned All-State and Super All-Star honors in 2019 and 2020.
