One of Troy’s cherished traditions will return to open the Christmas season.

The 19th annual Sheila Jackson and Friends Christmas Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6,  at the Claudia Crosby Theater on the campus of Troy University. For ticket information, call 334-282-9574 or visit troyartscouncil.net.

Jackson said this year’s Christmas concert will feature traditional Christmas songs and music as well as jazz, popular music and special selections by Stevie Wonder.

“We are looking forward to bringing back a Christmas tradition,” Jackson said. “They say this is the most wonderful time of the season, and we’re looking forward to bringing the community together. We’re thankful to the Troy Arts Council for putting this together each holiday season.

Tonya Terry and Willie B. Williams, Jr. will host the concert which will feature Shelia Jackson. Special guests and musicians will be Adrienne “Lucy B” Barron, Christine Barron, Carnell Barron, Tori Averett, Dr, Henry Terry, Pat Jackson, Isaiah Darby, Gabbie Jackson, Rachel Brown-Clay, Oshaesky Flower, Jaela Deadrick, Phyllis Jackson, Adrienne Hick, Constance Gray-Page, Pastor A.D.
