Pike Lib tops Dale County in overtime

The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots picked up a 57-55 overtime win over Class 4A’s Dale County Warriors on Thursday.
Jackson Mitchell led the Patriots with 18 points in the overtime win, while Sawyer Keck added 12 points. Dale County was led by Junior Smith with 24 points, while Jayden McGhee scored 15 points.
The Pike Lib Lady Patriots also fell 51-40 to Dale County on Thursday. Shelly Stephens led Pike with 12 points, while Mary Holland Stephens scored eight points.
Pike Lib’s boys also lost 43-37 to McKenzie on Tuesday. Keck led Pike with 16 points in the loss.
The Pike Lib girls picked up a 26-25 win over McKenzie, though. Riley Burkett led PLAS with seven points in the win.
The Ariton girls beat Geneva County on Thursday by a score of 50-33. Nya Allen led Ariton with 23 points.
On Tuesday, the Charles Henderson Lady Trojans picked up a 63-28 win over Barbour County as Ava Mitchell-Stone scored 23 points and earned four steals, while Harmony Hubbard chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists. Kamari Strozier also added 10 points and Reaghan Worley scored nine points. Jasmine Foster added five steals and eight assists.
