While the Troy Trojans are not bowling this season, college football’s annual bowl season has arrived nonetheless.

A total of three teams from the State of Alabama will be competing in bowl games this season. No. 11-ranked Alabama may have missed out on the College Football Playoffs, but the Crimson Tide will play Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Fla. on Dec. 31.

The Conference-USA Champion Jacksonville State Gamecocks will play Ohio in the Cure Bowl in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 20. South Alabama will play Western Michigan in the Salute to Veterans Bowl at legendary Cramton Bowl in Montgomery on Dec. 14.

The Birmingham Bowl will see Georgia Tech face Vanderbilt on Dec. 27 at Protective Stadium in Birmingham. Mobile’s Hancock Whitney Stadium will host the 68 Ventures Bowl matchup between Arkansas State and Bowling Green on Dec. 26.

The College Football Playoffs will begin Dec. 20 as Notre Dame hosts Indiana. On Dec. 21, Ohio State will host Tennessee, Texas hosts Clemson and Penn State hosts SMU. The quarterfinals will begin on Dec. 31 in the Fiesta Bowl with Boise State playing the winner of Penn State vs. SMU.

The rest of the quarterfinal matchups will take place on Jan. 1 with Oregon playing the winner of Ohio State vs. Tennessee at the Rose Bowl, Arizona Sate facing the winner of Texas vs. Clemson in the Peach Bowl and Georgia playing the winner of Notre Dame vs. Indiana in the Sugar Bowl. The semifinals will take place in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 9 and Cotton Bowl on Jan. 10 with the CFP National Championship on Jan. 20 in the Atlanta, Ga.
