According to On3Sports, Troy University All-Sun Belt receiver Devonte Ross has entered the transfer portal.
Ross caught 76 passes for 1,044 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 5-foot-11-inch, 161-pound Cartersville, Ga., native earned All-Sun Belt honors as a receiver, kick returner and all-purpose athlete this past season. During his Troy career, Ross tallied 129 catches for 1,619 yards and 14 touchdowns with 156 yards and another touchdown returning punts.
While Troy has lost a total of 10 players to the transfer portal so far this offseason, Ross and All-Sun Belt safety Ian Conerly-Goodly are by far the biggest hits to the Trojan roster.
Troy has now lost its leading receiver to the transfer portal in each of the last three seasons. Tez Johnson transferred to Oregon after the 2022 season, Jabre Barber transferred to Texas A&M after the 2023 season and now Ross has hit the transfer portal.
