This week, Troy Regional Medical Center announced the hiring of Troy native Walt Sanders as Director of Business Development.

Sanders will focus on driving strategic initiatives and fostering growth to enhance healthcare services that Troy Regional provides to the Pike County community. Sanders comes to Troy Regional from Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, where he was an account manager. He is also a real estate agent with Securance Realty. Sanders has worked in healthcare since he was 16 years old and previously owned Synco Drugs in downtown Troy, where he worked for 24 years.

“I am excited to collaborate with a talented team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and exploring innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our patients,” Sanders said. “I am looking forward to this exciting opportunity and the positive impact we can make together at Troy Regional Medical Center!”

Sanders is an active member of First Baptist Church of Troy and has been involved in numerous committees, boards and fundraising events throughout his career. Sanders is a former member of the Board of Trustees at Pike Liberal Arts School, where he served as the chairman of the Health and Safety Committee. He has served on the Pike Medical Foundation board for the past several months, as well.
