Although the Christmas season is a busy one, there are opportunities worthy of being “squeezed into” those busy schedules.
And, the Johnson Center for the Arts in downtown Troy has found new and creative ways to enjoy the Christmas holidays with family and friends, said Andrea Pack, JCA executive director. “Tonight, Wednesday, December 18, the JCA will host a triple treat Christmas event.”
At 5 p.m. cookies, milk and hot cocoa will be enjoyed along with an optional art project for kids and adults alike.
Santa will drop in for photos at 5:30 and at 6 p.m. the winner of the JCA’s Tree Extravaganza will be announced. Then, the Christmas spirit will fill the JCA as the Banks Primary Choir concludes the evening with familiar carols for everyone to enjoy or to sing along.
The JCA is looking forward to an evening with friends of the Johnson Center, Pack said.
“We invite everyone to a good old fashioned Christmas tonight as we gather around the piano, view the student- decorated trees and also a collection of nutcrackers,” Pack said. “We love that the holidays provide so many opportunities to participate in the arts.”
