“Ole Time Christmas” at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama on December 13 and 14 was, once again, a great success.

Barbara Tatom, museum director said the weather was perfect for the event.

“Activities took place in the main building, the Adams’ General Store and two cabins,” Tatom said. “Santa read ‘The Night Before Christmas’ while Mrs. Claus and her helpers served cookies and milk to all the good little boys and girls.”

Lenny Trawick provided music on Friday night and The Usual Suspects Jazz band on Saturday night.

“We were pleased with the good turnout as we welcomed locals from Troy, Banks, Brundidge and Goshen, as well as guests from other areas of Alabama and also from Alaska, Florida, Kentucky and Georgia,” Tatom said. ”Aspecial thanks goes to the members of the Pike County Master Gardeners and the Saint Fiacre Garden Club for decorating the cabins for this year’s event.”
