The Charles Henderson Trojans remained undefeated in area play after knocking off Greenville 65-49 in the Class 5A, Area 3 Semifinals in Troy on Saturday.

Kameron Christian led the Trojans with 21 points, while Jydarien Burney scored 16 and Damien Williams added 10 points. The Trojans will host Andalusia on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Area Championship. 

The Lady Trojans lost 52-43 to Andalusia in the girls Semifinals on Friday bringing their season to an end. Harmony Hubbard led CHHS with 20 points, while Kamari Stroizer scored 11 points. 

The Pike County Bulldogs beat Opp by a score of 50-42 in the Class 4A, Area 4 Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday. Khalil Foster led the Bulldogs with 15 points, while both A’zhoree Eutsey and Tra Davenport scored 14 points each. 

Pike County followed that up with a 67-51 loss to Bullock County in the Area Semifinals on Monday. Eutsey led PCHS with 26 points, while Foster and Davenport scored eight each. 

The Pike County Lady Bulldogs also beat Opp by a score of 45-18 in the Area 4 Girls Tournament Quarterfinals. JoJo Thomas led the Lady Dawgs with 13 points, while Zohee Lucy scored 11 points. 

On Saturday, the Lady Dawgs lost 66-42 to Straughn in the Area Semifinals. Jakayla Pierson led PCHS with 19 points, while Kynthis Jackson scored seven points. 

The Ariton Purple Cats lost 64-50 to Abbeville in the Class 2A, Area 4 Semifinals. Addison Senn scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Easton Kilpatrick scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished four assists.
