Charles Henderson’s girls’ basketball team has been preparing to host the AHSAA Class 5A, Area 3 tournament. The Lady Trojans put together a 5-1 area record and won the coin toss to determine the host site.

The Lady Trojans will look to defend their home turf tonight beginning with a 7 p.m. game against Rehobeth. Carroll will take on Eufaula at 5:30 p.m. in the opening game of the tournament.

The tournament is two rounds and the championship game will be played Saturday at 7 p.m. If the Lady Trojans win Thursday they are automatically in the state playoffs, but if they lose the season is finished.

A win in the championship game means CHHS will host the sub-regional round of the playoffs and a loss in the championship means the Lady Trojans will have to hit the road for the opening round of the state playoffs.
