The Brundidge Rotary Club’s annual Boston butt sale will be today and Saturday at the Piggly Wiggly in Brundidge.
The cost of each Boston butt is $25 and are fully cooked and ready to eat, said Sandy Boutwell, club member.
“The Boston butt sale is one of our largest fundraisers,” Boutwell said. “The funds that are raised are used to fund our scholarship program. Each year, the Brundidge Rotary Club awards four cash scholarships to area high school seniors.”
Those who support the Brundidge Rotary Club’s Boston butt sale are also supporting a variety of community projects and events.
The Brundidge Rotary Club sends two students to Ryla Camp, Rotary Youth Leadership Association, assists with the Peanut Butter Festival parade, rings the bell for the Salvation Army, delivers meals to the elderly and homebound for Cornelius Griffin’s Thanksgiving dinner and picks up trash on the old business Highway 231 each week.
The club also supports the American Red Cross and the Boy Scouts of America.
“The Brundidge Rotary Club is actively involved in the community and we appreciate the community’s support of our Boston butt sale,” Boutwell said. “That allows us to do more for the Brundidge community throughout the year.”
