People lined up as early as 6 a.m. Wednesday to buy tickets to the fall performances of “Come Home, It’s Suppertime” at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge.
Jo Nance and her husband drove up from Panama City and arrived at 6 a.m. She was determined to get tickets this time.
“I’ve tried for a couple of years and it’s a little disappointing not to get tickets,” she said.
I understand though, and decided I would have to try harder. I’ve heard so much about this play that I want to see it myself.”
They were among the lucky ones who were able to purchase tickets before the sold sold out in a matter of hours.
“The ticket sales went really well,” said Rue Botts, ticket chair. “Everybody who was there early got tickets. We had a few people that came later in the morning after the tickets were sold, and we had some telephone orders that we were not able to fill.
“Selling tickets on a first-come basis is about the only way we can sell the tickets. But I think that people understand that our seating is limited and that we’re doing the best we can.”
