James-Colvin

Mr. and Mrs. Keith James and Ms. L.A. Miller of Ethridge, Tenn., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelane Elizabeth James, to Joseph Maxwell Colvin, son of Ronnie and Teresa Colvin of Brundidge and Max and Lynn Ellis of Troy.

Shelane is the granddaughter of the late Neil and Ruth James and the late Clyde and Mary Miller, all of Ethridge. Joseph is the grandson of Carolyn Colvin and the late William Colvin and Mack and Mary Donaldson, all of Elba.

The future bride graduated from the University of Tennessee with of Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Education. She is currently employed as a seventh grade teacher for Knox County Schools.

The future groom received a Bachelor of Science degree from Troy University in Geomatics. He is the owner of JMC Professional Surveying and Mapping in Lenoir City, Tenn.

The wedding will be held on October 15, 2011 at the Garrett House in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Jeremy James officiating.

The couple will honeymoon in Mexico and afterward they will reside in Lenior City, Tenn.
