Wilbur Lee Nicholson, 81, of Brundidge, died at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Monday, June 2, 2008. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jerry Wilkes and Reverend Rex Godwin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Daddy was retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service to his country and fellow man. He was an avid fisherman in his leisure time and most any other time except when he was spending time with his family and his church. To Daddy- family always came first right under his GOD and he is loved by every heart with whom he has come into contact. Not only that, but he returned the love in kind.

Daddy was preceded in death by his wife and our mother some nine years ago, Mrs. Louise Nicholson. He leaves behind but not forgotten his daughter, Lynn Kimbrough and husband John, his son, Mike Nicholson and wife, Carol, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sisters, Jean Davis, Peggy Davis and Pat Fowler. We can all say Daddy, Grand Pa, Big Daddy, is so much better off now because he suffered for so long.
