Betty Joyce Davis Corley
Funeral
services for Betty Joyce Davis Corley, 49, of Ozark, who died in a Dothan hospital, Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, will be at 2 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with the Rev. Donnie Marler and the Rev. Jonathan Barron officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, L.W. Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Darrel F. Corley of Jack; daughter, Sherry (Ben) Stahr of Jack; grandchildren, Damian and Johnna Stahr; mother, Beulah Davis of Brundidge; sisters, Janet (Larry) Barron, Sue (William) Flowers and Sallie Davis; brother, Billy (Melba) Davis; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The pallbearers are Myron Davis, Mathew Barron, Lonnie Flowers, Gary Best, Oscar Best and Aston Amerine.
J. Margaret Barron
Services for J. Margaret Barron, 90, of Troy, who died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. There also will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
Mrs. Barron was born Jan. 7, 1917, in Pike County. She had a 12th-grade education and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jordan McVay and Minnie White McVay; son, Bruce Barron in 1966; husband, Martin Barron in 1985; brother, Davis McVay;
and two sisters, Verbie Hayes and Vera Enzor.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Max and Barbara Barron of Troy; granddaughter, Brandi Barron of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Titus Griffin, Mahlon McVay, Randy Hutchinson, Blake Hutchinson, Edsel Edwards and Carnell Wilkes.
The family requests memorials be made to Union Hill Cemetery Fund.
