David Wilburn Lewis, 79, of Troy, died at Troy Health and Rehab, Wednesday, August 9, 2006. Graveside services will be held at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Jimmy Spikes officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity. He is survived by Daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Gene Fortune of Troy, Granddaughter, Sonya Zamora of California, 2 Grandsons, Michael Fortune of Troy and Tony Fortune of Troy, Sister, Sarah Fleshman of Brundidge,

3 Nephews, Keith and Rendy Taylor and Danny Lewis, Nieces, Diane Lewis and Barbara Long, Niece, Patricia Lewis and Several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robie and Beulah B. Lewis and a brother, Raymond C. Lewis.

Catherine Green East

Catherine Green East, 69,of the Corinth Community, died at her home,Wednesday, August 9, 2006. Visitation was held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, August 10, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Don Grantham officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family request that memorials be made to Wiregrass Hospice and Ramah Cemetery Fund. The pallbearers are Logan East, Bradford Green, John Robert Green, Ken Green, Jackie McCraney and Joe Weston. She is survived by, Son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Kathy East of the Corinth Community, Daughters and son-in-law, Kim and Tracy Deal of the Corinth Community and Kathy L. East of the Corinth Community, Grandchildren, Casey East, Logan East, Kathleen Deal, and Kate Deal, Sisters, Alice Green of Phenix City, Truitt (Billy) Weston of Louisville, Betty Jean (David) Baxley of Enterprise, and Joyce (Bibb) Morgan of Apopka, Florida., Brothers, Robert (Sara Nell) Green, Jr. of Union Springs, Bufford (Betty)Green of Boot Hill, Ladon (Martha) Green of Montgomery, Richard (Ann) Green of Montgomery, and Steve (Jean) Green of Montgomery, Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles East, parents, Robert and Eunice Green, and sister, Ruth Kennedy.
