Carol Sanders Kimbrough

Carol Sanders Kimbrough, 66, of Troy, died at her home, Monday, April 17, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church in Troy on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Ed Walter officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church Building Fund. The pallbearers are Joseph Kimbrough, Bryant Kimbrough, Luke Ellerman, Keener Lynn, Jeff Lynn, and David Sanders. The honorary pallbearers are Joy Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. She is survived by Husband, James Kimbrough of Troy, Son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Melissa Kimbrough, Daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Richie Rhodes, Grandchildren, Mallory and Luke Ellerman, Meredith Rhodes, Morgan Rhodes, Joseph Kimbrough, Bryant Kimbrough, Jennifer Kimbrough, and Jesse Carlton, Great granddaughter, Sarah Ellerman, Sister, Rita McBrayer of Trussville, Brother, Malcolm (Helen) Sanders of Atlanta, Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kimbrough was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Troy.

Services for Amanda Miller, 41, of Troy who died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her home will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating.

She will lie-in-state for 30 minute prior to the service.

Burial will be at Rutledge Primitive Baptist Church in Rutledge under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 at the funeral home.

She was born March 26, 1965 in Nashville, Tennessee. Amanda was a butterfly that visited everyone. She was a hard worker and loved people.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Miller.

Survivors include her fiance', Michael McLendon of Troy; son, Brett Penrod of Troy; father of her son, Walter Penrod of Troy; mother and step-father, Bonnie and Bert Chenault of Niceville, Florida; sisters, Regina and George Bulen of Luverne, Rachael and Doug Evans of Titus, Elaina and Brian Davis of Luverne and Angela and Daniel Coplen, Sr. of Luverne; brother, Tony Watling of Troy; nieces, Rebecca and Gracie Hudson, Rachael White, Chelsea Coplen and Elizabeth Davis; nephews, Robert, Burdette and Micah Bozeman, Tristan Davis, Daniel Jr., Robert, Zach and Justin Coplen and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Copler, Tony Watling, Daniel Coplen, Sr., Alex McLendon, Micah Bozeman and Stan Noble.

Goldie Barefoot Richards

Goldie Barefoot Richards, 96, of the Tennille Community, died at Luverne Nursing Facility, Saturday, April 15, 2006. Visitation will be held at Springfield Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Springfield Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Royce Richards officiating and with music provided by Lloyd Hodge. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The pallbearers are Greg Richards, Jeremy Richards, Josh Richards, Allen Qualls, Rusty Barefoot and Scotty Barefoot. Survivors include, son, James (Lillian) Richards of Troy, daughters-in-law, Frances (J.W.) Yoeman of Brundidge and Frances (Karon) Botts of Brundidge, Grandchildren, Donnie (Myra) Richards of Brundidge, Vickey (Patrick) McCann of Brundidge, Stanley (Charlotte) Richards of Jack, Inga (Allen) Qualls of Troy, Greg Richards of Troy, and Kelly Richards of Josie, Great grandchildren, Crystal (Joey)Walters, Jacob Brown, Jeremy (Clara) Richards, Josh (Amber) Richards, Aaron Aldridge, Jane Richards, Santana Richards, Justin Thrash, Robby Thrash, and Katie Qualls, Great great grandchildren, Ash Richards and Emily Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Deval &uot;Pete&uot; Barefoot and Marilda Bowden, husband, Isaac &uot;Ike&uot; Richards, sons, Joseph D. Richards and Jerry D.
