Adam Wayne Davis

Sgt. Adam Wayne Davis, 25, of Montgomery, died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Visitation was held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, February 24, 2006 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There was a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service was held at Antioch Baptist Church on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Keith Reynolds and Reverend Roger Waldrop officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with full military honors. The honorary pallbearers are his co-workers at CSMS #1. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Davis and &uot;Baby Davis&uot; due August 2006 of Montgomery; parents, Billy and Melba Davis of Troy; sister, Karen Davis of Troy; grandparents, Joe and June Copeland of Troy; grandmother, Beulah Davis of Brundidge; great grandmother, Lucy Knight of Troy; three nephews, Gage, Kane and Tate Knighten of Troy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, L.W. Davis. He was a member of the Alabama National Guard for 8 years.

Rosemond Barnett Crowder

Mrs. Rosemond Barnett Crowder died quietly in her sleep early Saturday morning, February 25, 2006 at Magnolia Wood Lodge in Troy, where she had been a resident for the last four years.

    A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mrs. Crowder was a long time employee of First Alabama Bank, and was a Vice-President of the Trust Department when she Retired in 1982.  She suffered from Alzheimer's disease for the last 20 years.

Mrs. Crowder is survived by her husband of over 60 years , Wendol Wade Crowder; a daughter, Carolyn Zoe Crowder of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Thomas W. Crowder of Troy and Jerry W. Crowder of Birmingham; a brother, Rufus Barnett of Ozark and his wife, Darlene; a half-brother, Bill Fullerton and his wife, Ruth; and four grandchildren, Cory, Crissy, Matthew and Cammie Crowder.

Sara Lucille Howell

Mrs. Sara Lucille Howell age 88 a resident of Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Minister Gatha Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Henderson with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.  Visitation was Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

She was the youngest child of 9 born to the late Will and Ella Rhodes.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Shirley Howell (Keith) Blankenship of Troy; and a son and daughter-in-law Donnie Ray (Wilma) Howell of Brantley; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a brother,

Ewell Rhodes, age 93, of Phenix City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Eldered Howell, and an infant daughter, Mary Joyce Howell.

Douglas &uot;Radar&uot; Wilkinson

Douglas &uot;Radar&uot; Wilkinson, 51, of Brundidge, died at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Thursday, February 23, 2006. Visitation was be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There was a 30 minute lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Salem Baptist Church on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 2 p.m., with Reverend Bobby Hood and Reverend Richard Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The pallbearers are Henry Howard, Sr., Freddy Turner, Jim Henderson, Rusty King, Johnny Ross, and Jerry McWaters. The honorary pallbearers are Mack Brownlee, Ron Aldridge, Douglas Hattaway, Rhett Jones, James Boutwell, and Durwood Baxter. He is survived by daughter, Judith Lynn Wilkinson of Brundidge; mother, Ann Wilkinson of Brundidge; sisters, Cathy Wilkinson of Brundidge, and Tracie Gomillion of Brundidge; nephew, Taylor Gomillion of Brundidge; several aunts and uncles; brothers-in-law, Bernard Johnston of Dothan, and Ed Sandizimier; and sisters-in-law, Doris Johnston of Dothan, and Gail Sandizimier of Chicago.
