Emmett Norris Smith
Emmett Norris Smith, 66, of Troy, died at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy Sunday, August 28, 2005.
Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at 2 p.m. with Minister Doug Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cross Roads Church of Christ Cemetery in Brundidge.
The pallbearers will be John Willoughby, Edward Medley, Roy Medley, Joel Barr, Nathan Stanton and Chirs Woodard.
Survivors include, wife, Mae Nell Smith of Troy; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Wayne Wilson of Banks; son, Keith Smith of Troy, two grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Sanders of Troy and Dana Wilson of Troy; two great grandchildren, Tallon and Brennan Sanders of Troy; three sisters, Rebecca (Bruce) Barr of Montgomery, Sandra (Clyde) Gibson of Brewton and Rita (Randy) Jones of Troy; two brothers, Thomas (Diane) Calhoun of Troy and Danny Calhoun of Troy, numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruby Ailene Hussey Berry
Services for Ruby Ailene Hussey Berry, 81, of Banks who died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 30 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Lee Bloodworth officiating.
Mrs. Berry will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Berry was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Pike County
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Berry, Sr.; parents, Byrd L. Hussey and Ruby Morgan Hussey; three brothers, Roscoe Hussey, Gillis Hussey and Charles Hussey.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Franklin and Meril Berry of Troy and Charles A. Berry of Banks; two daughters and sons-in-law; Linda J. and Andrew Townsend of Troy and Katherine B. and Zack Miller of Montgomery; two granddaughters; Keisha
(Tony) Ellis of Montgomery and Meagan Berry of Troy; two great-grandchildren, Lindsay Sims of Montgomery and Justin Calhoun of Banks; three brothers, Jimmie B. (Betty) Hussey of Troy, Leroy (Hazel) Hussey of Banks and Sanford (Rita) Hussey of Columbus, Georgia.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Hussey Cemetery.
George Holt Saunders
Mr. George Holt Saunders, age 66 of Troy, Al Died Saturday, August 27, 2005 at his Home.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the First Methodist Church of Troy with Reverend Alan McBride officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Visitation will also be held Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the First Methodist Church in Troy.
Memorials may be made to the Montgomery Cancer Wellness Foundation, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, Al 36106 or to the American Cancer Society.
He is Survived by his wife Muriel Saunders of Troy; two daughters and a son-in-law Susan and Gary Johnson of Pace, Fla., and Pam Saunders of Tro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Becky Saunders of Montgomery and Brian and Meredith Saunders of Troy; ten grandchildren Anna Saunders, Sara Saunders, Taylor Saunders, Ellie Johnson, Jill Johnson, Isabella Saunders, Rob Chisenhall, Reed Chisenhall, Jeffrey Saunders, and Max Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Hal Hobbs of Georgia; a brother and sister-in-law, Hal and Celia Saunders of South Carolina.
He Was Preceded in Death by his Parents Hal and Evelyn Saunders.
