Jimmy Peacock
Jimmy Peacock of Brundidge died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at his home.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2005, from Pea River Cemetery in Brundidge with the Rev. Bobby Hood oficiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Friends will meet at the cemetery at 11 a.m. for funeral services. For further information on the location of the cemetery, contact Bob Thrash at 372-5916.
Survivors include, his wife, Margaret Graves Peacock of Brundidge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Donnie Johnson of Braxton, Fla., and Stephanie and Bill Fisher of Brundidge; three grandchilren, Lauren Fisher, Megan Johnson and Joshua Fisher.
Mary W. (Emmie) Watkins
Mary W. (Emmie) Watkins, 94, of Troy, died at her home in Troy, Friday, July 15, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Minister Gordon Gibbs and Minister Derek Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Moriah Cemetery or to Wiregrass Hospice. The pallbearers will be men of Antioch Church of Christ. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Jimmy Ingram of Troy, daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Gordon Gibbs of Selma, son, W.T. Watkins, Jr. of Troy, grandchildren, Derek and Hannah Gibbs of Legrand, Oregon and Byron Gibbs of Nashville, great grandchild, Luke Gibbs of Legrand, Oregon.
Marianne Jones Grissett
Mrs. Marianne Jones Grissett, age 61 of Springhill, Alabama died Friday, July 15, 2005 at her home.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Grissett will be held Monday, July 18, 2005 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, With the Reverend Buddy Hood officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Scott Grissett, Rod Grissett, Jamie Hurd, Wayne Seals, Ovie Dee Grimes and Charles Connor will serve as active pallbearers and James Smith and David Scarbrough Will serve as Honorary Pallbearers
She is survived by her husband Paul Grissett of Springhill, a Daughter Leanne G. Vizzari of Springhill and her Mother Margaret R. Jones.
She was preceded in death by her Father James R. Jones and a Sister Jimmie Jones.

Dr. James Hendrick French
Dr. James Hendrick French, 89 of Titus, Alabama died Friday, July 15, 2005.
Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge, Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM.
Graveside services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge, Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing.
A memorial service will be conducted at Wesley Gardens in Montgomery at a date to be announced.
Dr. French was a member of First Baptist Church in Montgomery and a member of Poundstone Sunday School Class.
Survivors include niece and husband, Haldine Baxter (Buck); nephew and wife, Don Dickert (JoAnne); nephew and wife, Ken Dickert (Donna); two great nieces, Deana Hodge and Blake Dickert; three great nephews, Chuck Dickert (Penny), Wes Dickert and Wade Dickert; three great great nieces, Hallie Hodge, Ellie Hodge and Millie Hodge; two great great nephews, Sam Hodge and Baxter Hodge.
Dr. French was preceded in death by his sister, Hallie F. Dickert, father, Fox French, mother, Hallie Estelle French and step-mother, Gertrude B. French.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to your favorite charity.
Johnnie Kaye Grimsley Whitson
Mrs. Johnnie Kaye Grimsley Whitson, 60 of Troy died Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Troy Regional Medical Center. Visitation was held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Saturday, July 16, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Troy, Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 4:00 PM. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 401 West College Street, Troy, Alabama 36081 or to Baylor College of Medicine, Joseph Jankovic, 6550 Fannin Street, Suite 1801, Houston, Texas 77030 (MSA Research).
Pallbearers will be David Price, Curt Porter, Jimmy Gaskins, Robert Pullen, Joel Williams, Gene O'Masta and Fred Cain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Former EYC members at St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
