Dola Forrester Clower
Dola Forrester Clower, 85, a resident of Webb, died early Sunday morning January 2, 2005, at Hartford Healthcare in Hartford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at the Center Baptist Church near Webb with Rev. Joe Hart and Rev. Wallace M. Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
She was born and reared in the Center community near Webb. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Forrester and Sally Roberta Culbreth Forrester.
She lived in the Shiloh Community in Pike County and also in Brundidge most of her adult lifetime before returning to Webb in 1989. Mrs. Clower was a member of Center Baptist Church and was an active member of the Shiloh Baptist Church when she lived in Pike County. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Kirkland and Edna Kirkland and four brothers, Prentice Forrester, J. T. Forrester, Buford Forrester and Tucker Forrester.
Surviving relatives include her husband, James Dewey Clower, a resident of Hartford Healthcare, formerly of Webb; two daughters, Delphia Stephenson and her husband, Roger Stephenson, of Dothan, and Pam Hagler and her husband, Don Hagler, of Hartford; two sons, Joel Clower of Webb and James Michael Clower and his wife, Sandra of Troy; two sisters, Blanche Kirkland and Grace Livingston both of Webb; two sisters-in-law, Faye Forrester of Webb and Margaret Forrester of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Krista Smith and her husband, Brian Smith, Dale Stephenson and his wife, Laura Stephenson, Dwayne Stephenson and his wife, Jennifer Stephenson, Matthew Clower, Chase Clower, Lance Hagler and his wife, Stephanie Hagler, and Donna Hagler; and seven great-grandchildren.
