Fannie Jewel Wilson Davenport
Services for Fannie Jewel Wilson Davenport, 65, of Brundidge, are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Brundidge with Dr. L.C. Millian officiating.
Family hour will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, November 26, from George F. Grubbs Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the church before the service.
Survivors include her sons, Lloyd and Carter Davenport, and other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the A.W. Scott Scholarship Fund.
Bernice Doris Egger Hooks
Services for Bernice Doris Egger Hooks of Union Springs, who died November 23, 2004, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Mt. Hilliard Methodist Church. Preachers will be pastors Fred Fuller and David Hooks.
She will lie in state at home from 2 p.m. November 25 until 10 a.m. November 27, and lie in state at the church one hour prior to service.
She was the daughter of Naomi Alice Little and Johnnie Vester Egger and was born and raised at Sulligent, Lamar County.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers and sister-in-law, Alfred Thomas and Willow Dean Egger and Billy Dean Egger.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy G. Hooks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Gardner and Frances Hooks, Daren Thomas and Angie Hooks; and three grandchildren, Chelsey Elizabeth Hooks, Tyler Daniel Hooks and Devin Thomas Hooks.
Pallbearers will be David Egger, Don McNabb, Tim Whatley, Greg Powell, Michael Caylor, William Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers will be Woodrow Sims, Rex Baker, Jimmy Caylor and Dwight Pritchett.
