He was preceded in death by his son, William, and by a special uncle and friend, Steven Irvin of Webb. The memorial service for Marcus will be held at 2 p.m. on November 1, 2011, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Troy with Rev. Jeffrey Byrd officiating. A graveside service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge. Dillard’s Funeral Home of Troy (566-1720) is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Pike County Humane Society.
