David Leland St. John

Services for David Leland St. John, 62, of Troy who died Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 02, 2004 at Collegedale Church of Christ with Jeffrey St. John, David St. John and Jonathan St. John officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park on Highway 29 under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, March l at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Nell St. John of Troy; sons and wife, David and Angie St. John of Huntsville and Jeffrey and Jonathan St. John both of Troy; two brothers, Sewell St. John of Foley and Albert St. John of Troy and a sister, Carol Webb of Malibu, California.

The family request memorials be made to the Christian Student Center or Collegedale Church of Christ, P. O. Box 152, Troy, Al. 36081.

George Howard, Jr.

Services for Deacon George Howard, Jr., 83, of Troy who died Thursday, February, 26, 2004 in Montgomery will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with Rev. Carl L. Hollis officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Troy under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 1 at the funeral home.

Mr. Howard was born December 27, 1920 in Troy. He received his education at Dunn's Chapel School and was a Deacon at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lousia Howard.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Howard; son, Douglas Howard; three grandsons; four sisters and their husbands, Cannie M. Wright of Troy, Alberta McCaster of Montgomery, Mary and Ulyssee Reddoch of Detroit, Michigan and Lessie and James Wilson of Enterprise; two brothers and their wives, William and Frances Howard of Montgomery and Uel and Annie R. Howard of Panama City, Florida; one step sister, Elva Ruth Kelly of Troy; five sisters-in-law, Esther Jones and Melar and William Walker both of Troy, Hazel Flowers and Susie Jones both of Detroit and Bertha Hatchett of Atlanta, Georgia; special friend, Wayne Rader; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Relatives and Friends of the Family.

Flower Bearers will be Deacons and Friends of the Family.

Clarinda Johnson Stubbs

Graveside services for Clarinda Johnson Stubbs, 57, of Luverne who died Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Hinson Cemetery on Highway 29 South in Troy with Minister Danny Rolling officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of

Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stubbs was preceded in death by a son and a daughter-in-law, Bryant Larmar and LeAnna Sasser Stubbs and her parents, Truman Russell and Linne Mae Stubbs.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Stubbs of Petry; two daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Michael Sport of Brantley and Rebecca Stubbs and Roman Odom of Luverne; one son, Jonathan L. Stubbs of Petry; grandchildren, Kristen Michelle Sport, KlaRissa Dale Stubbs, Katelyn Alexandra Sport, Brandon Jerry Stubbs and Jonathan Bryant Stubbs; sister and brother-in-law, Nell and W. C. Watkins of Troy; two brothers and sisters-in-law James Truman and Joanne Johnson of Goshen and Jimmy Johnson of Goshen.

The family request memorials be made to The American Heart Association, Diabetes Association or to the Hinson Cemetery Fund.

Mary Wynette Selph

Services for Mary Wynette Selph, 69, who died Monday, March 1, 2004, are 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 at New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church, Milan, GA.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Telfair County, where she lived until the age of 18, Ms. Selph was the daughter of the late John A. and Lallie Waters Selph.

She was in retail sales management.

Survivors include her daughters, Bede Karr of New London, N.C., Linda Faye Coslovich of Tuscaloosa and Ester O’Donnell of Wetumpka; son John S. Zorn of Andalusia; brother, Virgil Selph of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Tina Cardwell, Anna Coslovich, John Coslovich, Christopher Reynolds, and Courtney Zorn; and great-grandchildren, Jacqueline Cardwell, Victoria Cardwell, Christopher Reynolds, Jr and Pyler Reynolds.
