Mattie Mell Cooper
Services for Mattie Mell Cooper, 58, of Troy who died July 8, 2003 on the Elba Highway was at 1 p.m. July 12, 2003 at First Missionary Baptist Church of Troy with Rev. Carl Hollis and Pastor George Gilchrist, Jr. officiating.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery on Gardner Bassett Road under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was from 1:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. July 11, 2003 at the funeral home.
She was born January 18, 1945 in Pike County. Her parents were the late Willie Roy Williams and Lucy Mae Tolbert Williams of Troy. She completed the 12th grade and was a Private Sitter. At an early age she joined the New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Linwood.
She loved cooking, watching movies and taking care of her family and is remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, caring sister and loving aunt.
She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters (Willie Maude and Irma Jean) and a stepfather, C.D.
Survivors include a devoted and loving mother, Lucy Tolbert Williams of Troy; four children and husbands, Patricia and Michael Kendrick of Detroit, Michigan, Cynthia Cooper
and Alethea Cooper of Troy and Jennifer and Felix Majors of Ft. Benning, Georgia; eight grandchildren, D'Angelo, Carmon, Michael, Jaluisia, Charmaine, Raquel, Steven and Asain; sister,Virginia Boyd; two brothers, Charles Williams of Detroit, Michigan and Travis Williams of Troy; five aunts and one uncle; Hazel and Caroll Carlton and Peggy Gardner of Detroit; Janie Tolbert and Mary Caldwell of Montgomery and Al and Daisy Tolbert of Atlanta, Georgia. Brother-in-law, James Griffin of Troy; special cousin, Helen Shy of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; special sister-in-law, Shirley Williams of Detroit; several nieces, nephews, cousins,
family, friends and a secondary family of
Kenneth and Margaret Harris of Troy.

Services for James Perry Williams, 60, of Troy who died Thursday July 10, 2003 at his home will be at 2 p.m. Sunday July 13, 2003 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Neal Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday July 12, 2003 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Carrie Bell Williams; two brothers, Delmer Williams and Gerald (Boss) Williams and two sisters, Minnie Arnold and JuaNita
&uot;Lady&uot; Casey.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sue Williams of Troy; four children and their spouses, JuaNita and Tony Ward of Troy, James Dennis and Patricia Williams of Goshen, Wanda Gail and Bobby H. Outlaw of Ohio and John R. and Paula Williams of Troy; nine grandchildren, James Daniel Williams, Candace LaShay Holley, Courtney Paige Ward, Misty Sierra Ward, James Dennis Williams, Jr., Justin Neil
Williams, Michael Dewayne Outlaw, Andrew Paul Byrd and Patrick Wayne Byrd; four sisters, Ida Carnley, Thelma Mahaffey, Jenell Johnson and Edna Grantham; brother, Howard Williams; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Clarice Anderson Drivas
Graveside services for Clarice Anderson Drivas, 88, of Troy who died Tuesday July 08, 2003 at her home will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 13 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ocala, Florida.
There will be a memorial service held at graveside.
Burial will be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Nicholas Drivas, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Margo Gavigan of Ormand Beach, Florida; sons, Charles Drivas of Troy, Michael Drivas of Hudson New York and James Drivas of Ocala, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild
and a brother John Anderson of Livingston, New York.
