Troy police are still searching for a missing couple, and seeking information from the public regarding the potential whereabouts of the husband and wife.

"We'd hope they are safe, but it's our responsibility to be sure that they are safe," Police Chief Anthony Everage said.

Wilbur Gil Chancellor and his wife Sheila Joyce were expected to return home from an outing June 7, but Gil's brother Merlin called police after they did not show up.

Merlin said he'd last heard from his brother on June 6, and that Gil had told him the two were going to Montgomery and then possibly to Gantt.

Gill is a 54-year-old white male, and Sheila is 59-year-old white female.
