The Troy police investigation into the Wednesday burglary and assault of an elderly couple continues.
No arrests have been made in the case.
"Anybody that has any information or knowledge about what occurred on Terrace Trail, please call the police department so we can follow up on that information," Police Chief Anthony Everage said.
At about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a house on Terrace Trail where a 77-year-old man and his wife had been assaulted and burglarized. Police have not released their names due to the on-going investigation.
One victim remains in Flowers Hospital in Dothan. The other victim was treated and released Wednesday at Edge Regional Medical Center.
Police detectives spent much of Thursday following up on leads in the case, said Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, the department's public information officer.
"It may be a description of a person or
of a vehicle or maybe an incident that occurred in the past - something a neighbor may remember as being out-of- the ordinary - that could be helpful to the detectives in this case," Everage said. "Any information that can be passed along to the police department can be helpful in identifying the perpetrator in this case."
Scarbrough said investigators again spoke with the victims' family members, who indicated there was some improvement in the condition of the victim overnight.
