Several Troy commitments were in action this past weekend. I was on the road to and from Starkville so I didn’t get to look at the results until now.

Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game

Alabama 31, Mississippi 12

Final Stats

WR Cody Core (Auburn) caught one pass for 31 yards on a 3rd down and 22 in the third quarter. Alabama would be forced to punt on the drive. Core also completed a pass the following drive on a throwback to quarterback Jameis Winston. The play lost nine yards.

RB Brandon Burks (Daleville) did not register any stats.

Florida 7A State Championship

WR Brandon Brooks and DB Shaq Beverly will both play for the Florida 7A state title on Dec. 16 as First Coast High School (Jacksonville) takes on Manatee (Bradenton).

Community College

These teams finished up in November but Chris Hawkins (OL) plays for Hutchinson CC. Rankings reflect those at the time the game was played. Hutchinson finished ranked 9th in the national poll.

Kansas – KJCCC Championship – #3 Butler (9-1) defeated #8 Hutchinson (9-3), 40-21

Salt City Bowl – #14 Hutchinson defeated  #19 Lackawanna (7-4), 70-20
