Services for Lila I Botts, 85, of Louisville who died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Edge Regional Medical Center

in Troy will be at 2 p.m. June 12, 2002, at Louisville Baptist Church with Revs. Cary Sanders and Steve Potete officiating.

Burial will be in the Louisville City Cemetery under the direction of Kent Funeral Home of Clayton.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Botts was born Sept. 27, 1916 in Pike County.

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Florrie Ingram. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Ivan Ingram, Jack Ingram, Conley Ingram, and Mary Ann Dunn and also her first husband Dewey Coggins. Mrs. Botts had lived in Louisville for the past 64 years. She was a member of the Louisville Baptist Church and was very active in her church and church activities. She represented the church in many local and regional meetings and was a member of the WMU. She was a community and civic leader and served as PTA president for the Louisville School. She and Mr. Coggins owned and operated Coggins Trading Post for approximately twenty years.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Botts of Louisville, daughter and her husband, Janice and Camp Powers of Louisville; four step-daughters, Brenda Riley and Kathie Brown of Banks, Barbara Norwood of Brunswic, Georgia and Rosemary Leggett of Brookhaven, MS.; two brothers, Ed Ingram of Union Springs, and Charles Ingram of Opelika; three sisters, Katie B. Dunn of Banks, Ruby Armstrong of Luverne and Jean Arrington of Union Springs; three granddaughters, Lisa Peterson of Auburn, Tracy Kidd of Dothan, and

Dana Powers of Auburn and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are the nephews, Randy Arrington, Michael Phillips, Mark Ingram, Mike Ingram, Bobby Armstrong and Earl Ingram.
