Bids by contractors to build Troy’s new Nutrition Center were opened at City Hall Tuesday.

There were two companies who submitted information, Whaley Construction Co., of Troy, and Holley-Henley Builders, of Montgomery.

Whaley was the low bidder at $559,806.

Mayor Jimmy Lunsford said the city council should vote to award a bid at their next meeting on Feb. 14.
