Luther Dan Gibson

Luther Dan Gibson, Age 100, of Troy  passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012 in Troy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Boswell Gibson who died in 1989. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel W. and Doris Gibson of Daphne, daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Richard Head of Hoover. He is also survived by  his grandchildren, Coly Gibson of Huntsville,  Jeff and Tiana Head of Pelham, Jennifer and Martin Fischer of Alabaster. Mr. Gibson had 5 great grandchildren: Brittany, Nic, Lindsey, Abigail, and Jarid.

Mr. Gibson was retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 Years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Troy.

A graveside service will be held  Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Green Hills Cemetery with Dr. Luke Lane officiating. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy from 1:00 until 1:45 Wednesday, February 15, 2012. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy.
