Orangeburg, S.C. The Troy State women’s soccer team defeated South Carolina State Saturday, 7-0.
The victory was the Lady Trojan’s second consecutive victory. In the first 20 minutes, it looked as if Troy State was in for a tough match.
South Carolina State came out playing aggressively and challenging every ball.
In the 26th minute freshman Lynn Rankin started the scoring off as she took a pass off of a throw in from freshman Courtney Reeder and shot it past Lady Bulldog goalkeeper Ardena Scott to put Troy State up 1-0.
