Saturday softball spiel

I know everyone is excited about the start to baseball season but the Troy softball team is of to an outstanding start.
The Trojans are 13-2 to open the season (and are still competing in the Red and Blue Classic in Oxford, Miss. LINK here) and are showing the fight and resolve that championship teams display.
Down 8-0 in the fifth to Chattanooga, the Trojans came all the way back to win 9-8. Troy’s two losses have come to an undefeated Purdue (10-4) and 13th-ranked Missouri (4-0).
Though head coach Melanie Davis would probably love to win by a comfortable margin, she has to be happy with the team’s ability to win the close game. The Trojans have won four 1-run games thus far this season.
After Troy battles with LSU in a tournament in Baton Rouge, the Trojans open Sun Belt Conference play on March 14.
PUT A STAR ON YOUR CALENDAR FOR MARCH 24 AND 25!
Troy plays a currently undefeated Louisiana-Lafayette (13-0) team that has defeated the likes of Michigan and Mississippi State.
The Ragin’ Cajuns are led by right fielder and All-Everything Christi Orgeron who is batting an unbelievable .500 (24-48) with six home runs and 30 RBI. Not too shabby.
On the mound, Ashley Brignac, who has had a wonderful career with ULL, is once again dominating opposing batters. She is 7-0 with a 1.12 ERA.
If your plan on attending a Troy softball game, this would be the one to see.
