The recent investigation into a burglary resulted in two arrests in that incident and another on drug charges and endangering the welfare of a child.

On May 8 a resident of Highway 125 reported a burglary. The back door had been forced open and seven firearms and about $2,000 worth of jewelry was missing.

Two days later, two suspects were jailed in connection with the crime.

Dustin Senn, 20, of Brundidge and Joseph C. Senn, 18, of Troy were charged with first-degree burglary. Bond was set at $50,000 each.

As a result of the burglary investigation, a warrant was issued and executed on May 10. While searching the vehicle believed to be involved in the burglary and Dustin Senn’s residence, officers found two pistols and six long guns (rifles and shotguns) and "nearly all the jewelry" reported missing, Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas said.

Officers from the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, along with the District Attorney’s Office were involved in the case.

Investigation in that case led those involved to secure and execute a second warrant that resulted in the arrest of Tommy Allen, 38, of Coffee County.

During the execution of that warrant, officers from the Pike and Coffee County Sheriff’s Departments and the 12th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force found Allen in the process of cooking methamphetamine.

Allen was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a child since an 11-year-old was at the residence. The trafficking charge has a $10,000 bond attached and bond on the additional charge was set at $5,000.

All three were placed in the Pike County Jail.
