Annie Hobdy, a resident of Brundidge, died Sunday, April 15, 2001. Funeral services and survivors will be announced by Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home.
Rufus C. Duncan
Rufus C. Duncan, 74, of Luverne died Sunday, April 15, 2001.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 18 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Luverne with the Rev. Mike Green officiating. Burial will be at Brunson Chapel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Survivors include his wife, Polly T. Duncan of Luverne; three children and their spouses, Charles and Betty Duncan, Sheila Lee, Debra and Kenneth Hill, all of Troy; six grandchildren, Shay Jones, Todd Duncan, Cherish Lee, Tara Lee, Brandon Hill and Brent Hill; one great-granddaughter, Joselyn Jones; three sisters, Mary Kelley and Katie Bundy, both of Troy, and Odell Maddox of Sylacauga; two brothers, Shelby Duncan and Luke Duncan, both of Luverne.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Sara Elizabeth McPherson Andress
Sara Elizabeth McPherson Andress, 85, of Troy died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 18 at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hatcher and the Rev. Greg Aman officiating. Burial will be at Hephzibah Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Andress and William H. McCaleb of South Boston, Va.; two grandsons and their wives, William H. and Maria McCaleb Jr. of Dumfries, Va. and Christopher Michael and Amanda McCaleb of Stafford, Va.; great-grandchildren, Austin Mathew McCaleb, Amber Grace McCaleb, Colby Myles McCaleb and Autumn Brooke McCaleb; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Gladys L. McPherson and Elsie and William Goolsby, all of Troy; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hudson Andress; daughter, Sara Jenette Andress; parents, Eli Alonza and Huron Elizabeth Griffin McPherson; three brothers, James McPherson, Eli McPherson and Grady McPherson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hephzibah Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy and there will be a 30-minute lie in state prior to the service.
Louise Rolling Harden Muzio
Louise Rolling Harden Muzio, 82, formerly of Brundidge, died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 17 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge with the Revs. Steve Rascoe and Steve Poteat officiating. Burial will be at Ramah Cemetery in the Josie Community with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
Survivors include five daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Dempsey Martin of Pensacola, Fla., Judy and Julian Hurst of Louisville, Betty and David Dufault of Savannah, Ga., Linda Steed, Cathy and Andy Sheffield, all of Brundidge, and Gary Steed of Troy; brother, Odis Rolling of Columbus, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, James A. "Jack" Harden and John A. Muzio.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Martin, Ronald Martin, Dale Hurst, Julian Beaty Hurst Jr., Jason Shipman, Jonathan Steed, Greg Steed and Bart Ellis.
