Pike Liberal Arts defeated Liberty County (Fla.) on Thursday, 12-2.

The Patriots pounded out hits at they improved their record to 16-3.

Pike Liberal Arts scored four runs in the third inning with two outs to earn the easy victory.

Reed Dickey was the winning pitcher for the Patriots as he threw all five innings.

Chandler Avant and Lawson Stewart each hit homeruns.

Josh Starling finished 3-for-3 for the game.

Pike Liberal Arts will return to the diamond on Friday as the travel to face area rival Monroe Academy.

The matchup is a scheduled doubleheader. Game time is set for 3:30p.m.
