Willard Dale Bryan, 61, of Honoraville died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000 at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000 at Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville with the Rev. Herbert Brown officating. Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery with Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bryan of Honoraville; daughters, Kim Davis of Gulf Shores, Tami Heartsill of Honoraville and Meredith Welch of Troy; son, Darren Bryan of Honoraville; sisters, Alice Quinley of Springfield, Ill., Norma Jones of Mt. Vernon, Ill. and Elizabeth Montgomery of Coulterville, Ill.; brother, Alan Bruan of Neduoin, Ill.; grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Bryan, Chris and Joey Welch and Shaye Heartsill.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Southside Baptist Church of Greenville.
Eddis K. McWaters
Eddis K. McWaters, 90, of Brundidge died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 at Dale Medical Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack King officating. Burial will be at the church cemetery in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
Deacons of St. John Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
He was prededed in death by his wife, Ollie Bee McWaters and three grandchildren, Robin Shaw, Jason McWaters and Kenneth McWaters.
Survivors include two daughter, Valleen Shaw and Sylvialeen House, both of Brundidge; three sons, Karo McWaters, Jerry McWaters, both of Brundidge, and Ed McWaters Jr. of Arlington, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service.
Bobby Durward Medley
Bobby Durward Medley, 61, of Troy died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000 at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000 at Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ with Minister Douglas Williams officating. Burial will be at the church cemetery in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
There will be a 30-minute lie-in-state prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be David Miles, Charles Wilson, James Mulkey, Buddy Peacock, Lewis Powell, Charles Senn and Billy Stewart.
Survivors include his wife, Judity Medley of Troy; parents, Robert and Gladys Medley of Hamilton Crossroads; two brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Medley of Dothan and Roy and Lilla Medley of Brundidge; step-children, Angie Peacock, Robbie Newman, both of Troy, Pam Newman of Birmingham and Chris Newman of Eufaula.
Myrtle Petty Whittington
Myrtle Petty Whittington, 89, of Troy and formerly of Crenshaw County, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 in an Ozark nursing home.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Luverne. Burial will be at Pleasant Home Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Maenett and Travis Windham of Banks; two grandchildren, Phillip Windham of Prattville and Joseph Windham of Jack; one great-granddaughter, Kaylin Windham; one sister, Emma Jean Bolding of Freeport, Fla.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Turner Funeral Home.
Calvin S. Sikes
Calvin S. Sikes, 76, of Lapine died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000 at Crenshaw Baptist Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at Turner Funeral Home in Luverne with the Revs. Joe Leverette and J.L. Jones officating. Burial will be at Petrey Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Sikes of Lapine; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jan Sikes of Pine Level, Danny and Ceil Sikes of Montgomery and Mickey and Rhonda Sikes of Lapine; seven grandchildren: Buddy Sikes and Brett Sikes of Pine Level, Lee Sikes and Lindsey Sikes of Montgomery, Sydni Sikes, Ali Sikes and Will Sikes, all of Lapine and one great-granddaughter, Brittany Sikes of Pine Level.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14 at Turner Funeral Home.
