Pinkie Flowers, 99, of Brundidge died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000.

Services will be at 1p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000 at Union Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. A.D. Daniels officating. Burial will be at Shiloh Baptist Church in the Tarentum Community with Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service.

John David Cowart

John David Cowart, 62, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and formerly of Goshen, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

Services will be at noon, Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000 at Goshen First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonas Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Goshen First Baptist Church Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Cousins will serve as pallbearers and floralbearers.

Mr. Cowart was born Nov. 16, 1937 in Pike County to Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Cowart. He spent his early years attending Pike County schools.

Survivors include two children, Denetris and David Cowart of Ft. Walton Beach; mother, Mary Cowart of Goshen; two sisters, Minnie Pearl Kelly of Goshen and Annie Lois Davis of Hillside, N.J.; three brothers, Monroe Cowart Jr., Arthur Cowart, both of Jersey City, N.J. and Eddie Lee Cowart of Goshen; two grandchildren, Deveon Cowart and Devarion Cowart of Ft. Walton Beach; special friend, Rosemary King of Ft. Walton Beach; many aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
