Troy swept the season series from in-state rival Jacksonville State with a 15-7 victory at Riddle Pace Field on Tuesday night.
The Trojans pounded out 15 hits in the victory.
William Teal got the start on the mound but was pulled in the second inning with a 3-0 lead after loading the bases without record an out. All three runs would score and be credited to Teal.
Garrett McHenry pitched three innings in relief to pick up the win. McHenry allowed just one hit but was on the mound when the three runs scored in the second.
Troy scored in every inning except the second.
Logan Pierce again pace the Trojans at the plate, going 4-for-5 for the game with three RBI. The Charles Henderson graduate raises his average to a team-high .403 and has recorded a hit in 21 of the last 22 games played.
Jakob Nixon finished 3-for-5 while Tyler Hannah, Danny Collins, and Jake Harrell all recorded two hits each. Harrell also blasted his second homerun of the season with a solo shot in the third inning.
Troy defeats Jacksonville State for the second time this season. The Trojans were victorious on the road, 9-1, against the Gamecocks on March 27.
Troy will host Middle Tennessee State in a three game series beginning Friday at 6p.m.
