Effie Claude Dease

Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Claude Dease, age 74, of Eufaula, will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kent Funeral Home in Eufaula with Rev. Billy Bevan officiated. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland. Mrs. Dease died Tuesday, April 10th at Medical Center Barbour after an extended illness.

Born June 8, 1937 in Pike County, Mrs. Dease was the daughter of the late Claude and Jewel Roberts Senn. She had lived in Eufaula since 1979. Mrs. Dease was a member of Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church in Troy. She enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing, the beach, spending time with her sisters and just living life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by three children, Ricky Ray Dease, Michael Shane Dease and Donna Lynn Jones; a sister, Angela Carrie; and a grandson, Justin Dease.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Lori Dease, Dothan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Neal Senn, Eufaula and Janet and Steve Roper, Ozark; four brothers, Jerry (Margie) Senn, Larry (Lenora) Senn and Gary (Diane) Senn all of Brundidge and Pat (Linda) Senn, Jack; three sisters, Doris Senn, Brundidge, Evie Kontos, Destin, FL., and Gloria Wesley, Troy; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons, Mark Hartley, Mack Hartley, B.J. Williams, Bryan Senn, Devin McDaniels, Benjamin Dease and Austin Hayes will serve as pallbearers.
