Justin Wright out until December
Troy senior guard Justin Wright will be out until December after undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus in his left knee.
Wright said on Tuesday that doctors found a micro fracture as well that had gone undetected before. He is currently rehabbing three times a day in hopes for an earlier return.
The surgery was performed on Sept. 13 and Wright got off crutches on Monday.
“I’m rehabbing the mess out of it,” Wright said. “I want to be back out there with my guys as quickly as possible.”
Wright was Troy’s third-leading scorer last season averaging 10.3 points per game. With the loss of Alan Jones and Mo Weathers, he is the Trojans top returning scorer.
Troy opens practice on Saturday.
